Bahamian gospel legends, the Elevations received the 2008 Rev. Arthur Preacher Rolle Life Time Achievement Award during the hosting of the 2009 Marlin Awards on Sunday March 29th in Nassau, Bahamas.

Most of the original members of the group were in attendance and the award was accepted on behalf of the group by Pastor Preston Wallace, a long serving member and writer of one their biggest hits ‘My Lord is Writing’. The group along with their families was also treated to a special surprise performance of two of their hit singles ‘My Lord is Writing’ and “I ‘ll Never Be Lonely” featuring Bahamian R&B singer, Preston Wallace Jr. aka Puzzle along with one of his sisters, Shelly Wallace and a male friend, Demetrius Smith on Background vocals. They were accompanied by a group of talented musicians including James Hepburn (keyboards), Jeff Mackey (bass), Demetrius Stubbs (guitars) and Travis Glinton on drums.
